This is a message from Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association. On 9th November, Geoff Pegg, Director of Operations of the Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association, spoke to a group of Sisters Milen members about Neighbourhood Watch and crime prevention, with translation into Punjabi. Members were also guided on how and when to contact the police. As a result of this, Sisters Milen now has its own Neighbourhood Watch scheme for all of its members. We are pleased that Sisters Milen continues to engage with valuable community safety initiatives. Wycombe Mosque is proud to support the work of Neighbourhood Watch and greatly values the positive contributions Sisters Milen makes in promoting the safety and well-being of women in the community. Sisters Milen is a community project managed by Wycombe Mosque, dedicated to supporting women across High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. Led by women for women, the project promotes sisterhood, healthy living, and social connection, offering a welcoming space to reduce isolation and build friendships. While supported by the mosque, it is based at The Ark Centre on Rutland Avenue and is open to all women in the community. As part of the project, Sisters Milen hosts monthly events, including social gatherings and informative talks, providing opportunities to learn, connect, and form meaningful relationships. Join us and become part of this inspiring ladies-only community. | ||
